Ten more months to go!

We still have 10 more months before the release of Sex And The City 2!  I don’t know if I can stand it!

I’ve been watching the internet for news, rumors and gossip about the upcoming movie and I’m already so excited that I’ve been contacting my local theaters for the past MONTH trying to buy advance tickets!  LOL

Here’s a look at what I’ve found out so far – keeping in mind that these are all just bits and pieces I’ve found on the web, some confirmed, but mostly just rumors, gossip and fun at this point.

• Premier Date for SATC2 is scheduled for May 28, 2010.  Mark you calendars!
• All of the girls have signed on to return! – Whew!  What a relief!  I can’t even imagine the movie without one of the Fab Four, or worse yet, can you imagine a substitute Samantha?!
• Chris Noth has NOT signed yet! – OMG!  Give me a pen and I’ll go track him down!  This must be taken care of NOW!
• Recession Concessions – Rumor has it that Sarah Jessica Parker would like to see the characters dress a little less haute couture and act a little more financially responsible due to the current financial affairs of the country.   Stylist for the series/movie, Patricia Field, however, states that she has no plans to alter the characters’ wardrobes.  Let’s hope Ms. Field wins out on this one!  Movies are supposed to be entertainment and how entertaining would SATC BE if the Fab Four wore clothes they bought off the rack at Wal-mart?!  It is possible, though, that the girls, especially Samantha, will have to keep a little tighter hold on the Fendis as stocks lose value and real estate values fall.

• We’re going to London! – Carrie goes international again, this time to London!  Apparently, for business reasons, Big decides he and his lovely bride must relocate to London.  I have mixed feelings about this one.  While London is certainly a very beautiful and romantic city, a perfect setting for this Sex And The City sequal, I hated it when Carrie left the girls behind and went to Paris.  And Carrie hated it, too!  I hope they do this in such a way that I don’t feel any separation anxiety!
• Big has an AFFAIR! – I SOOOOO hope this rumor is not true!  How can they do this to Carrie?  WHY do they keep doing this?!  Surely there must be some other way to spice up this movie!  But Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed that there is NO baby bump in Carrie’s future, so THAT story line is nixed for sure.  After all that Carrie and Big have been through, I was just kind of hoping there would be a better story line than, “Once a cheater, always a cheater”.  Let’s hope they do it up right for this movie.
• Dante will be back! – Remember Samantha’s georgous sex-on-a-stick neighbor from SATC1?  Currently performing on Dancing With The Stars, Gilles Marini says he has been approached by producers and his appearance in the sequal is definitely a possibility.
• Louise From St. Louis will be back! – Jennifer Hudson also confirms that she would LOVE to be a part of the sequal!  Louise from St. Louis from Manhattan – to London!
• Will Aiden be back, too? -  I hesitate, at this writing, to include this, but, in reading between the lines there has been some mention made that Carrie and Aiden will meet again.  Now, don’t go getting your panties in a twist yet, girlfriend.  This is the most UNconfirmed rumor I’ve seen.  But wouldn’t it be wild?!  Talk about throwing in a monkey wrench!

So, what’s a girl to do for 10 months while waiting for the premier of Sex And The City 2?  Why, watch all the episodes over again!  Of, course!  I figure, if I get started now, Carrie and Big will be stepping out of the courthouse at about the same time I’ll be stepping into the theater for the sequal!

Victoria Beckham To Appear In Sex And The City 2!

Rumor has it that former Spice Girl, Vitoria Beckham, is so desperate to be in the upcoming SATC2 that she’s even taking acting lessons!

When offered a walk-on spot in the first blockbuster, Ms. Beckham was unavailable to participate because she was, at the time, touring with the Spice Girls.  But with a free schedule this time around, she’s doing whatever it takes to ensure her spot in history.

Word is that she’ll have a more “fleshed-out” role than simply a walk-on, and will be playing a fashionista alongside Carrie and the girls.

The MEN are BACK!

Evan Handler, David Eigenberg and YES! Chris Noth have all officially inked their deals to reprise their roles in the upcoming Sex And The City sequal.  And isn’t THAT a good thing?  What would the movie be without the men?

It was originally rumored that Mr. Big wouldn’t be able to make the scene this time due to scheduling conflicts and/or contract negotiations.  But, as in the original movie, all’s well that ends well.

And keep your fingers crossed – still no news as to whether Gilles Marini, Samantha’s sexy neighbor, will be returning.  But his name has been in the news quite a bit lately and he’s very visible right now as he’s Dancing With The Stars.  I expect to be adding his name to the cast list any day now!
